PERFORMANCE IN AMSTERDAM/STATEMENT
OF SOLIDARITY
Dear Fighters for Justice,
Hereby my statement of solidarity with
your courageous protest of disrupting
the performance of the Israeli actress Lia Koenig,
the ´´star´´ of the National Israeli Theatre Habima,
who acted in Amsterdam. (1)
You made the impressive statement, that every
Israeli cultural event must be boycotted, as long as
Palestine is not free.
This cultural happening was no innocent event at all.
One of the sponsors was the Embassy of Israel, which
clearly is a promoting of the occupying State of Israel. (2)
Moreover, this Habima Theatre is regularly performing
in the illegal Israeli settlements (3) and should be
answered for that.
With contempt and disruption.
You are not the only ones.
Courageous activists in Great Britain did it already. (3)
May many follow.
As long as Israel doesn´t end the occupation and continues
with the committing of warcrimes, it must be boycotted economically,
culturally and academically.
Your courageous action has made an important contribution.
